- Carry a light jacket: The underground cities like Derinkuyu stay cool even in summer, with temperatures often dropping below 10°C.
- Bring cash for small stops: Some churches or local stalls in Ihlara Valley and Belisırma Village may charge a small fee or sell handmade souvenirs.
- Mind the stairs and tunnels: In Derinkuyu Underground City, the passages are narrow and steep. Keep your bag small and move slowly if you’re prone to claustrophobia.
- Photography reminders: Flash isn’t allowed inside frescoed churches like Agacalti to preserve the artwork, but you’ll have plenty of outdoor photo spots in Ihlara and Pigeon Valley.
- Perfect for spring and autumn: The best months for this tour are April to June and September to October, when Ihlara Valley is lush and the temperatures are comfortable for trekking.

The Green Tour was really good and all went well. I have to say Mert was an amazing Tour guide, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The food at lunchtime is good, way much better. I highly recommend this tour coz it’s really cool to see the beautiful landscapes, history and great guide in this tour.

Went with Royal Balloon Cappadocia on a comfort flight, very professionally organised from go to woe. Flight was perfect, quiet, smooth, had the best experience. Perfect precision landing back on trailer, piloted by Omur Sekeryapan. Champagne toast to finish off, one great lifetime experience not to be missed.

Just as they say. They pick you up at the hotel. They take you to the place where the balloon is already being inflated. You take a tea or coffee with a piece of pastry while you take pictures and see the rest of balloons (dozens) that begin to rise. They put you in the basket and enjoy an unforgettable flight!

The team super friendly and professional, we saw the whole process of preparing the balloon and the trip itself was an unforgettable experience with unparalleled views and scenery. The pilot talked to us about what he was doing to make us feel safe at all times. The breakfast before and the toast after were also a great detail.
I recommend it 100% and I would definitely do it again.

Great service and always on time. The whole team was incredible and it's such an unforgettable experience. It's totally worth it as the Sofa li valley is the second best location to fly in Cappadoccia. We felt always safe and the crew was very professional

Family trip, kids loved it way more than I thought they would. They played hide and seek in the bigger rooms (maybe not allowed, oops). The passages are super narrow in places, so no big backpacks. Not stroller friendly at all! Staff at the entrance were friendly and pointed us to a good guide.
