#This was the my favourite experience of my entire trip in Turkey!! It was so fun, and the guides were helpful (we followed them and rode on tracks/trails specific for ATVs). You can ride by yourself or with your partner or friend. I would highly recommend this to everyone!! 😁

The Green Tour was really good and all went well. I have to say Mert was an amazing Tour guide, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The food at lunchtime is good, way much better. It was mostly a positive experience but the mud at the horse riding place was terrible and the communication was not good

Özkonak underground city was replaced with Derinkuyu which is bigger to explore. The tour guide was also very knowledgeable. We met very nice people in the group.

I had to change my pick up point and strictly Follonica the schedule not to miss other planned activities. Everithing was on time, I received support and the balloon tour was great. What more? Well done

So many balloons floating in the sky above the magical landscape! From the pickup, through breakfast, the balloon ride, and the landing, everything went smoothly! There were only 20 of us in the balloon—which is quite a small group by Cappadocian standards!

For our trip to Cappadocia, we chose the Green and Red tours through Headout, and we were simply enchanted by the experience. Thanks to the user-friendly interface offered by the Headout platform, the booking process was incredibly convenient and fast; accessing our tickets or getting answers to our questions was a breeze. We completely eliminated the stress of planning. As for the tours themselves, both routes were perfect for exploring Cappadocia’s unique nature and history. However, the biggest factor that made this adventure unforgettable for us was our guide, Mr. Serkan. Thanks to his wealth of knowledge, sincerity, and approach to the experiences, we had the opportunity to get to know the region much more deeply. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to both the Headout team and our guide, Serkan Bey, for everything. I highly recommend this unique experience to anyone visiting Cappadocia through Headout; it truly became an unforgettable vacation memory.

Helpful tips for your hiking in Cappadocia

Trekking along a stream in Cappadocia's lush landscape during the Full-Day Green Tour.
  • Best time to start: Begin your hike early in the morning (before 9am) to enjoy cooler temperatures and softer light. Midday can get hot, especially in summer, and shade is limited in valleys like Love Valley and Devrent.
  • Wear proper footwear: Opt for trail shoes or hiking boots with good grip. Cappadocia’s volcanic tuff can be slippery, especially on loose gravel paths and steep sections near viewpoints.
  • Photography timing: Sunrise and late afternoons offer dramatic shadows and soft golden tones on fairy chimneys—ideal for landscape shots.
  • Know when not to climb: Many formations may look climbable, but erosion makes them fragile and unsafe. Stick to designated viewpoints, local rules discourage climbing fairy chimneys.
  • Plan for weather changes:: Cappadocia can be windy, especially on ridge trails near Uchisar. Layer up, and bring a light jacket even in summer mornings or autumn evenings.
  • Respect heritage sites: Some churches and cave dwellings still hold frescoes, so avoid touching walls or carving initials, as the rock is extremely soft and easily damaged.
